9 / 11 A different view...

How many of you remember what it was like for the week after 9 -11?

For a short time - did we as a people unite or divide?

I can remember strangers letting you out in traffic...

Strangers talking to me at the mall...

People at stores were friendlier...

Why?

Because we were no longer strangers, we were fellow Americans...

For a brief period we were a people united by our loss...

We cared deeply for those who lost loved ones, that we did not even know...

"W" had the greatest chance any president has had in a very long time.

He had the chance of taking advantage of the uniting, and bring that uniting of America to levels never
before experienced.

I would loved to see "W" give an address to the Terrorists on a prime time special on American TV.

Would have been nice to hear him say something like;

"I would like to address those of you who attacked America:

You have tried to divide us...

You have tried to instill fear in us...

And, you have failed miserably...

You're act of Terrorism completely backfired...

Instead of dividing us in fear...

You have united us as Americans, a nation that is though your actions - is now more united as "one" people than we have ever been...

No longer as we looking at our the neighbors on our streets - as strangers...

They are now our friends...

As we all now have joined hands as one nation, united in love for our fellow Americans "We one people" of every different race, creed, color and religious beliefs - And we hold hands on this day as one people - We are forever united as we say;

(
As cameras pan a crossed the crowd - Showing thousands of people holding hands saying this; )

"We will not accept fear... for the truly strong never fear - And as a nation united - we are stronger and more powerful than we have ever been...

It is the only weak who attack...by attacking you have proved your weakness...

For we the strong, know we are strong...and it would be but a waste of our time to attack, when we already know we have already won...

You will never succeed in spreading terror on American soil...

We the united American People fear nothing..."

What might have changed if this was done right after 9/11?

If the focus on
unity was kept, would it have grown?

How might America be different now?

People, there is no one in office right now that is uniting you.

The people running for office are too busy fighting each other to unite you.

So it's up to you - The People of America - Will you now reach out a hand to your neighbor and make them you're friend and fellow American?

or will you buy into the fear that they are selling, will you allow this great country to be divided, will you allow your brothers and sisters who died in 9/11 to have died in vain?

Or will you now choose to stand up united as one people, one nation for ever free, strong, proud and unified!

I have faith in you America, I have faith in each one of you, that together can make this beautiful nation shine brighter than she has ever shined before!

Reach out your hand to your neighbor...

Say hello to that fellow American who was once a stranger, who now is a friend, simply because you took the time to say "hello"

Unite now as one people and give a positive meaning to date 9/11!

Say to those brothers and sisters who lost their lives...

"You did not die in vain! For you united all of us in love..."
